Knotless Keyhole Repairs for Shoulder Instability

Traditional techniques and implants used in arthroscopic (keyhole) repairs for shoulder instability may result in prominent knots which may eventually migrate and abrade and damage the normal cartilage in the shoulder. This may result in long-term permanent damage to the shoulder cartilage and joint, which may, in turn, cause chronic pain in the shoulder.
“By eliminating knots from my surgical repairs, I can avoid the possibility of unintentional damage to the shoulder cartilage, and thus prevent complications from occurring in my patients in the long run”.
